Taxify launches Boda Boda App

Taxi hiring firm, Taxify, has launched an app for the a boda-boda option that could revolutionalise the industry.

Already hundreds of  boda-boda riders have signed up.

“Our main goal is to provide the most convenient, cheap and reliable way to move from place to place within cities” Shivachi Muleji, Taxify's East Africa’s Regional Supply Manager, said.*

Muleji further noted that Taxify has taken measures to ensure that certain guidelines are followed to protect both the boda boda riders and the passengers.

The riders shall first be trained on how to offer first aid and other basics that most riders lack. Helmets

for both the driver and passenger, first aid kit and reflector jackets shall be provided to the riders.

"Taxify Boda will charge a starting base fare of Shs 500, Shs 70 per Minute and Shs 400 per

KM," Muleji said.
