A Muslim sheikh in Mbale district has been found dead a day after he was reportedly picked up from his home by yet to be identified people.

The body of Sheikh Issa Wampongo, a duat teacher at Yusra Primary School in Nakaloke, Mbale district, was this morning found lying in a stream in Kachumbala in Bukedea district.
Sheikh Wampongo, also a Masters student at Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), was allegedly picked up by unidentified people from his home in Nakaloke town council on Monday night.
Suleiman Luutu Wandera, the director of Yusra Primary School, says Sheikh Wampongo will be buried today in Nakaloke.
