Police have arrested three people to help them in investigations over the murder of Ivan Kirumira,40 , a brother to city businessman Godfrey Kirumira.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Area deputy police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, the incident happened at around 2am at Kamuli, Kira municipality in Wakiso district on Sunday morning.
“He was attacked and killed from his sitting room,body wrapped in a carpet and put in his vehicle,”Owoyesigyire said.
According to eyewitnesses, the deceased’s body was cut a number of times before being wrapped in a carpet by assailants whose motive is not yet known.
The police mouthpiece however revealed that they have arrested two people including Ivan Mukisa, a student at Standard High in Zzana along Entebbe road, Derrick Kateregga and Sharon Kagimu to help in investigations.
“We are also looking for one gentleman only identified as Ken who is on the run to help in investigations. “
