Place-IT: United, City to win

Place-It

Another sporting weekend is here and there’s so much to be excited about; Eric Baily gives Mourinho huge boost as Harry Kane is sidelined. In Spain the pro-independence continues to hurt while Bayern Munich meet RasenBallsport Leipzig for the second time in a space of three days.

Time zones change this weekend but that won’t stop the action from continuing as usual. It’s match day ten of the Premier League and so it is for la liga and Bundesliga.

Premier League

Manchester United - Tottenham Hotspurs – 2:30PM Local Time:

In the Premier League’s early kick-off, Manchester United play host to Tottenham. Two different side only brought alike by the standings. Both are at 20-points separated by the goal difference agenda. With United in second and Spurs third, today is the actual day to find out who Man City’s contender is at the moment. The news of Harry Kane’s absence means it’s a tougher distance to move against a United side who haven’t shipped in a goal at home and should ride on Eric Baily’s return to maintain the record.

Romelu Lukaku should be in good shape to add to his four-goal tally in home matches but it could be tricky against a Spurs side who have conceded only twice on the road.Spurs shook to a 3-2 defeat to struggling side West Ham and should have been on course to bounce back but the absence of Harry Kane (2-goals in each of his last three away matches) makes it harder.

United fell to Huddersfield last week but bounced back with a 2-1 win over Swansea in midweek. This should be their only chance to stake worth for the championship but Tottenham have gradually improved regardless of their struggles without Wanyama. According to whoscored.com• United have won their last 3-Premier League home games against Spurs without conceding a goal.• Spurs have lost 20 of their 25 Premier League games at Old Trafford (W2, D3).

But this can’t guarantee United all three as their scoring is seemingly reducing as evidenced in their last 3-games.

Tip: Halftime: Under; Full Time: 1;

West Brom - Man City – 5PM

Leaders Manchester City travel to the Hawthorns on Saturday as the only team in the Premier League yet to lose a match following last week’s action in which United suffered their only defeat so far. Only Barca have conceded less but still scored less. PSG have scored more (31) but shipped in four more, while Juventus, Europe’s best defense last season have already shipped in 10, 3-less than their last season’s treble nemesis.Injuries to Johny Evans and Gareth McAuley could dearly cost Tony Pulis’ side.

Sergio Aguero could get a chance to become man City’s all time Goal Scorer surpassing Eric Brook this weekend but the Citizens will concede this time.

Tip: HalfTime: 0:1 Full Time: 2

More from the Premier league

West Ham to extend midweek run to Saturday against Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace. West Ham ejected Tottenham from the Carabao Cup and that should be their springboard to a third win.The Hammers return from 2-0 to clinch a 3-2 victory over Spurs makes them big bidders for all three struggling Palace. Tip: Crystal palace to score a headed goal. Chicharito could rediscover his scoring touch if given space.

Full Time: 2

Claude Puel goes head-to-head with David Answorth on Sunday as Leicester City take on Everton. Leicester won 2 with Michael Appleton in charge as caretaker manager, however, he goes into this, third game, as Claude Puel's assistant following the appointment of the Frenchman's on Wednesday.Everton’s spirits continue to fight on as demonstrated on Wednesday against Chelsea but it’s unfortunate the curse that saw Ronald Koeman out won’t see David Unsworth earn a point away at the King Power.

Tip:Wayne Rooney to score, Jammie Vardy to score. Full Time: 1
