Singer Hajara Namukwaya alias Spice Diana is nursing injuries in hospital after police officers mistook her for an idler at the Kampala City Carnival and roughed her up in arrest.
The Onsanula singer had been one of the performers at the carnival, but as she walked away, police officers intercepted her and asked for identification. The singer who might have thought she is quite known hesitated.
Too late, officers started bundling her up for arrest in the event, injuring her.
She posted on her Facebook page thus;
Social media users were not any sympathetic to the singer, with many saying, it serves her right for assuming she is popular. Others insisted the singer could have failed officers to identify after she became artificially light skinned than she was initially.
