ASFAs 2019 nominees revealed

Kampala’s most anticipated fashion event of the year, Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards held a glamorous Nominees Release Party at Kingdom Kampala.

It was a fun-filled exclusive cocktail night were nominees to the stylish and fashionable awards night were unveiled ahead of the event slated to take place on Friday December 13 sponsored by Ciroc Premium Vodka.

The night was host to some of Uganda’s biggest African Fashion stakeholders and media personalities like Joram Muzira, Oliver Nakakande, Miss Uganda 2019, Apass, Debbie Kagisha and Big Trill who gave a specially exciting performance during the release party.

Some of the other attendees included fashion designers, models, icons, media personalities, socialites among others like Tazibone Solomon, Mwaj Ahmed, Hers UG fell under the categories of the ASFAs ceremony who will battle it out for the ultimate awards at the Kampala Serena Hotel in December.

This year’s edition falls under the theme, “The Starz” where many African fashion creatives will be recognised with a special feature category under the Honorary Awards; The Icon Award; Lifetime Achievement Award; Positive Change Award and the Special Recognition Award for Innovations who will be selected by the ASFA 2019 panel plus 14 other categories.

Notably, Ozwald Boateng, OBE a British fashion designer of Ghanaian descent, known for his trademark twist on classic British tailoring and bespoke style will be one of the big international guests being hosted for the Awards show not forgetting America’s Classic man Jidenna who will be performing too!

The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards is a continental fashion awards event held annually in Kampala to recognize excellence and outstanding achievement in the fashion industry in Uganda and Africa.
