Former Vipers and Gor Mahia striker Erisa Ssekisambu has joined Startimes Uganda Premier League defending champions KCCA FC, the Nile Post has learnt.
The striker put pen to paper on Thursday morning.
“The former Gor Mahia player is the first signing for KCCA FC in this transfer window and it is confirmed he will don the yellow and blue jersey for 2019/20 season,” KCCA said on their website.
Ssekisambu expressed happiness for joining the defending champions on a one year deal.
“I am glad to be joining a winning team because my ambition is to win trophies. I cannot wait to get started,” the striker said.
In November 2018, Ssekisambu signed Kenyan giants, Gor Mahia, also known as K’Ogalo as a free agent after his contract at Kitende based Vipers Sports Club expired but he has not lasted long in Kenya.
Ssekisambu’s move to KCCA means he has now played at SC Villa, Express, Uganda Revenue Authority and Vipers where he has scored a total of 75 goals.
He will don shirt 11 previously worn by Allan Kyambadde who upgraded to shirt 20.
The development comes only hours after the Lugogo based club unveiled a new jersey for the forthcoming seasons.
The jersey will see the Kasasiro board yellow and blue jerseys for home and away games.
The home jersey will have yellow pronounced the most with a few patches of deep blue and the blue shorts will be summed up with yellow socks.
The away kit will be blue with stains of yellow patches and is summed with yellow shorts and blue socks.
