Mustafa Kizza shines at KCCA FC

KCCA FC wing back Mustafa Kizza is fast becoming one of the best players the country has had in that position in recent years.

At 19, the towering lefty has made the left wing back position his own at kcca fc after the departure of Isaac Muleme and Joseph Ochaya.

His name has made the starting eleven for most of the Kasasiro boys’ previous games both locally and on the continent.

His accurately measured crosses from the left flank have tormented defences and yielded some important goals for the lugogo based outfit.

Kizza is a set piece specialist too and has customised free kicks and corners at his club.

Watching Kizza play feels like he has been around for ages, yet he has barely lasted three full seasons in the country’s top tier.

The soft spoken player who has been an integral part of Matia Lule’s under 20 national team was slapped with his first senior call up by Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre as the team prepares to take on Lesotho in the AFCON 2019 qualifiers next weekend at the Mandela national stadium.

After the first training with the team on Friday at the startimes stadium, kizza revealed to Nile Post that this is a dream come true.

“I feel great to be called on the national team because as a player it has been my dream, and I will work hard in training to make the final squad. ”

A graduate of the KCCA FC academy, Kizza was elevated into the senior team in February 2017 with five others including Allan Okello, Julius Poloto, Peter Magambo, Herbert Achai all still at the club and Forward Noel Nasasira who was loaned to Ndejje University.

Mustafa kizza also spent the first half of the 2016/17 season on loan at Maroons FC.
