Phillip Wokorach stars as rugby Cranes obliterate Tunisia in Gold cup

The Uganda Rugby Cranes overcame a poor start to defeat Tunisia 67-12 in their third game of this year’s Rugby Africa Gold Cup at Kyadondo Rugby Club on Saturday.

Philip Wokorach was the man of the day as he strolled through the Tunisia defence with ease.

His boot was as good and his near-perfect kicking on the day ensured Uganda registered their first points in the competition.

The Rugby Cranes put on a commendable show to demolish the Tunisians

The win moved John Duncan's side to third place on the log with 5 points in three games.

Uganda will play Morocco next on the 11th of August and Zimbabwe a week later at the same venue.

Favorites Namibia top the group with 20 points while Kenya are second with 12.

The winner of the group after the 5th game will qualify for the 2019 Rugby world cup in Japan as the Africa 1 team, while the second will progress to the repêchage tournament and battle for the Africa 2 slot.
