Fresh Kid excels in PLE with First Grade
Fresh Kid earned Distinction Two in both English and Science, while his scores in Social Studies and Mathematics were D3 and D4, respectively.
Young rapper Patrick Ssenyondo, also known as Fresh Kid, has excelled in the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) scoring Division One.
The results for the 2024 PLE were officially released on Thursday by the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni.

Fresh Kid, who completed his primary education at Kampala Parents School, achieved an impressive score of Aggregate 11, securing a first-grade classification.
He earned Distinction Two in both English and Science, while his scores in Social Studies and Mathematics were D3 and D4, respectively.
Upon the release of the results, Fresh Kid was seen in high spirits, accompanied by his father as they arrived at the school to check the outcomes.
Six years ago, Fresh Kid, began his education on a scholarship at Kampala Parents School after gaining fame as a singer at the young age of seven.
He had been forced to enrol into school by then youth and children's affairs minister Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi following public debate on whether he continued with music or went to schoo.
In November of last year, teachers Mary Nakitende and Jessica Nakayenga commended Fresh Kid for his dedication to his studies, which they noted played a significant role in his academic success.
"He was disciplined and focused...He’d say, ‘Teacher, I can’t get involved – I don’t want to lose my scholarship.’' Nakitende said.
Fresh Kid, 12, gained popularity in 2018 when his manager, Francis, discovered him in his village performing songs by renowned rapper Fik Fameica.
He quickly rose to fame and was signed by De Texas Entertainment a year later, which facilitated the release of some of his biggest hits.
However, in the same year, then Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi, cautioned Fresh Kid against performing during school hours, citing the Ugandan Labour Law that prohibits anyone under 18 from working.
He later received a scholarship from Rajiv Ruparelia to attend Kampala Parents School, where he has completed his primary education.
Last month, Ms Nakiwala, now a presidential advisor, announced that Fresh Kid was being considered for a secondary school scholarship at Cambridge International School Kampala.
