Minister Mulimba discusses drugs, crime with regional UNODC chief

The  Minister of State for Foreign Affairs,  John Mulimba, held a meeting with the newly appointed United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Regional Representative for East Africa, Ms. Ashita Mittal.

The UNODC Regional Office is in Addis Ababa.

The discussions, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kampala, centered on the critical issues for Uganda in tackling the threats and impact of drugs and crime.

The minister extended government's appreciation to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for its ongoing support and collaboration in advancing global peace and security, human rights and development by making the world safer from drugs, crime, corruption and terrorism.
