Historic comeback :Makerere University's Ivory tower stands again

Makerere University rebuilds Iconic Ivory Tower in a significant stride towards preserving historical architecture.

Makerere University has taken a momentous step in restoring its iconic Ivory Tower, which was tragically destroyed by an inferno.

The restoration effort has been led by the combined efforts of Makerere University  Vice-Chancellor Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, and the renowned Excel Construction company.

Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, publicly urged Prof. Nawangwe to ensure that the new structure mirrors the original in every aspect.

His call emphasized the cultural and historical importance of the Ivory Tower, urging that its restoration should honor its original design and legacy.
