Azawi loses Shs1M bet to Ykee Benda after Arsenal beat Man Utd
Ykee Benda and Azawi.

Songstress Azawi has lost a Shs1 million bet with  fellow artist, Ykee Benda over the  Manchester United vs Arsenal game last evening.

Weeks ago, Azawi dared Benda to bet on which of the two rival English clubs would turn out victorious in a game played at Old Trafford, Sunday evening.

The Swangz Avenue star had staked Shs1 million on Arsenal not winning while Benda had staked the same amount on the Gunners win.

However, with United losing 1-0 to Arsenal, Ykee Benda has won the bet, and is now a million richer.

According to the Mpaka Records’ boss X post, Azawi has already cashed in after losing the bet.

“Ladies and gentlemen. Azawi has showed real sportsmanship,” Benda’s X post attached with a screenshot of purpoted payment by Azawi reads.

The two artists are known to be big sports fans and have been using their social media pages to update on their favourite clubs. Azawi is a United fan while Benda is an ardent Arsenal supporter.

Speaking to the Nile Post last week, Azawi  expressed her strong love for sports.

“I don’t want to comment about the bet thing but I have always been a sports fan. Those that have been following me know that.”

Arsenal increased their chances of winning their first English Premier League title in over 20 years after a 1-0 narrow win against United.

The goal scored by  Leandro Trossard helped the Gunners to secure the three points.

With a game to go, Arsenal will be hoping on Manchester City to lose some points if they are to put their hands on the Premier League title.
