The Africa Peace Concert proudly marks the successful close of its fourth edition and ushers in its fifth season with a powerful message: “The Power of Collective Action.” The official launch event is taking place today, 23rd April 2025, at Four Points by Sheraton, Kampala, bringing together leaders, changemakers, artists, and youth from across the region committed to advancing peace through unity and creativity.
The Guest of Honour for the launch is Rotary International Director Nominee (RIDN) - Emmanuel Katongole, a respected philanthropist, business leader, and advocate for peace and reconciliation in Africa. The event features keynote addresses from distinguished speakers including Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, Vice Chancellor of Makerere University; Kin Kariisa, Group CEO of Next Media; and a representative Peace Fellow and alumni of the Makerere Rotary Peace Centre program—each sharing insights on mobilizing collective action for sustained peace across communities.

Now in its fifth edition, the Africa Peace Concert continues to grow as a platform that fuses music, art, dialogue, and grassroots engagement to promote peace, justice, and inclusive development. The fourth edition showcased diverse voices and performances from across the continent, igniting conversations and actions that resonated deeply within local and regional communities.

The 5th Africa Peace Concert is officially scheduled to take place on 1st November 2025 and will build on this momentum to further elevate the voices and efforts of African peacebuilders under the rallying call of collective impact.
