Apostle Grace Lubega, founder of Phaneroo Ministries International, has unveiled bold plans to construct a state-of-the-art church building valued at $55 million (about Shs200 billion), making it one of the most ambitious religious infrastructure projects in Uganda’s recent history.
Speaking during a recent service, Lubega told thousands of congregants in Naguru that the church’s next chapter involves building a facility befitting its rapid growth—without relying on loans.
“We are planning to build a $55 million building, and I’m not borrowing,” Lubega declared.
“I am Abraham’s son. Between now and how it will manifest, I know there’s a young man in the industry saying, ‘God, I want to give a million dollars on that.’ He doesn’t have a job, but he has the heart. That’s the one I’m looking for.”
The planned building, whose design and location details are yet to be disclosed, is expected to become one of the largest and most iconic church facilities in East Africa once completed.
Founded in 2014, Phaneroo has grown from a small fellowship into a major spiritual movement, especially among Uganda’s youth.
The ministry’s weekly Thursday and Sunday services attract thousands, with many followers sharing testimonies online of personal transformation and empowerment through Lubega’s teachings.
Lubega’s vision of building a debt-free mega-church highlights the financial faith and commitment he continues to inspire among his congregants—many of whom have pledged to contribute to the historic undertaking.
