Woman Dies After Night of Heavy Drinking in Nakapiripirit

Lemukol reportedly consumed a combination of illicit alcohol and local brews throughout the day and night, allegedly on an empty stomach.
A 49-year-old woman, Lucia Lemukol, has been found dead in her home in Karinga Village, Nakapiripirit District, following a night of heavy drinking.
Lemukol reportedly consumed a combination of illicit alcohol and local brews throughout the day and night, allegedly on an empty stomach.
A post-mortem examination indicated that severe hypoglycemia, likely triggered by excessive alcohol consumption, was the cause of death.
Karamoja Region Police spokesperson IP Mike Longole confirmed that scene of crime officers had visited the location, gathered evidence, and recorded statements from witnesses.
“Investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding her death,” Longole said.
Police have urged the public to drink responsibly and seek medical attention if complications arise.
