According to the group, the 39th liberation celebrations by the National Resistance Movement (NRM), the Gen Z under the banner of Generation 7, proudly recognize the resilience, vision and sacrifices of those who fought to liberate Uganda.
Additionally, Gen Z for Gen 7 further alludes that from the bush war to the ballot, Generation 7 has paved way for Uganda’s steady progress under the National resistance Movement thus it is now, Gen Z’s turn to honor this legacy by committing themselves to securing the gains of the liberation and shaping a brighter, more prosperous future.
“Today is not just a reflection of an era that ended tyranny, but a celebration of unity, peace and transformation, it is a moment to reaffirm our resolve to defend the values and principles upon which our Nation was rebuilt” Kyarisiima Israel, the Founder of Gen Z for Generation emphasized.
The group is calling upon the youths to embrace General Muhoozi’s message to fight corruption as a pivotal step in upholding the values of accountability and transparency that are vital to national development and youth empowerment, since corruption undermines the legacy of sacrifice, unity and progress built by the National Resistance Movement.
“As the torchbearers of this legacy, it is our duty to ensure that our nation thrives on the foundation of the integrity and justice, together let us stand firm against corruption and commit to building a Uganda that truly reflects the aspirations of its people” Kyarisiima stressed.
The group asserts that by consolidating the gains of NRM, GenZs are fully ready to support His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s candidature since he has consistently proven to be a leader with Uganda and its people at heart, embodying the values and aspirations of this generation.
