Nyendo-Mukungwe Member of Parliament Mathias Mpuuga has introduced a private members' bill aimed at amending Uganda’s electoral laws to allow Ugandan citizens abroad and prisoners to vote in national elections.
In a heated debate on NBS Morning Breeze on Monday morning over the long-awaited electoral reforms, Nyendo Mukungwe MP Mpuuga accused Minister Mao of misleading the public with hollow promises.
These reforms, aimed at improving transparency and fairness in Uganda’s electoral system, come as the 2026 general elections approach.
