Preparations for the National UMEA Solidarity Games are in full swing following the official launch at Namagabi Secondary School in Kayunga District.

Speaking at the event, UMEA General Secretary Haj Abubaker Kakembo emphasized that the games aim to promote discipline, love, and unity among students in UMEA-founded schools while nurturing a God-fearing generation.

This will be the 37th edition of the tournament, scheduled to run from April 17 to April 22 at Namagabi Secondary School.

Twahir Kitezaal, the Chairperson of the UMEA Solidarity Games, confirmed that over 50 schools are expected to participate, with winners in each discipline receiving trophies.

The head teacher of Namagabi Secondary School, this year’s host, assured participants that the games will be exceptional, as all pitches have been fully prepared to accommodate different sports simultaneously.

The competition will feature various sports, including football, netball, woodball, scrabble, and volleyball.
