Uganda cranes,Kitara Fc forward Denis Omedia signs a two year deal contract with the Rwandan football club APR. Omedi penned down the employment along with SC Villa star Hakim Kiwanuka that will see them with the club until 2027.
While Kitara Fc kept distancing themselves from rumors that their star forward Denis Omedi had plans of leaving the club, the news broke on wednesday 8th January evening that Denis Omedi who is also Uganda cranes forward together with SC Villa star Hakim Kiwanuka penned down a two year employment contract with the Rwandan football club APR.

Omedi was part of the Kitara team that beat SC Villa 1:0 on tuesday at the club home stadium in Butema Hoima, and shortly after the match, the club president Deo Kasozi while addressing the media said as a club they are almost sure that Denis Omedi will not be with them in the second leg.
"A lot of clubs have contacted us that they want Denis Omedi, he has not been with us because he had gone for medical test which he passed, as a club we are ready to let him go in case he is fine with any club signing terms, but we are almost sure that Omedi will not be with us next season, but be patient once the deal is done we will communicate" Kasozi said
Kasozi though said depending on the terms between the two clubs, they may or not disclose the money sold out of Omedi
"We are a transparent team, but for Omedi it will depend on the terms agreed, if he says no to disclosing the cost we will not, if he agrees we will disclose" He said
Kasozi though assured the fans that even without Omedi their team is strong enough to compete.
"Omedi has not been in the team, but we have been winning, so even without him we are a strong team, but we may have one or two signings depending on the guidance of our coach" Kasozi said
When we contacted the Kitara fc chief executive officer Josh Atugonza on call he did not answer our calls, but the club communications officer Geoffrey Tumwesige declined to confirm the deal, but assured us that the club will come out and make a formal communication.
"For now you may need to treat that as social media rumors but on how true or false that is, the club through our known social media platforms we will make a formal communication towards the same" Tumwesige said on phone.
Denis Omedi who had been shortlisted by Uganda cranes team for CHAN may missout on the games after turning an international player.
