Former 2022 Kitara Fc top scorer player Patrick Kaddu has returned to the team from Kenya.
According to the club spokesperson Geoffrey Tumwesige, Kaddu brings back the experience that will add more energy to the team as they compete for the title.
He returns on a season long deal which he penned before transfer deadline day last week.
The attacker left Kitara in January 2023 for the Kenya Premier League following an explosive form that saw him net 15 goals for the Royals in the FUFA Big League first round.
His contribution was instrumental in Kitara FC’s return to the top flight.
"Kaddu’s return is expected to significantly strengthen the Royals’ attack and provide essential leadership as they embark winning more titles this season, he joins Denis Omedi, Fred Amaku, George Senkaaba who will be tasked to lead the Royals’ attack this campaign" Tumwesige said
Kaddu who returned this week to the club says he is excited returning to the team that shapes his career and exposed him to play in the Kenyan league.
"I’m incredibly excited about returning to Kitara, This is not the way I left it in 2023, they have made remarkable progress and have already started out on an ambitious path, on which I can now accompany them" Kaddu told the Nile Post.
“From the fans to the stadium, you see things are moving well and to my liking. I’m really looking forward to my return to the Uganda premier league and also help my team win matches.” he added
Kaddu has previously played for KCCA FC, Kira Young, Gor Mahia, Maroons, Ismaily SC of Egypt, and Moroccan outfits RS Berkane and Youssoufia Berrechid.
Kitara FC face KCCA in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Friday at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
