The state minister for finance and general duties who also doubles as the MP Rubanda East constituency Henry Musasizi has asked leaders in Rubanda to prioritise working for the development of their areas instead of engaging in politics.

Speaking during the induction of  Bubaare Archdeacon, Ven.Oscar Mwesigwa at Bubaare Archdeacon presided over by Rt. Rev.Gad Akanjuna, Bishop diocese of Kigezi, Musasizi noted that instead of starting early campaign, Rubanda leaders should work to ensure their electorates' lives are uplifted.

“Just let people know what to do in order to get out of poverty, and everything else will work in our favor as leaders," Musasizi said.

Musasizi repeated his regular call for full participation in the Parish Development Model, a government-initiated poverty alleviation program targeting people in the subsistence economy.

He advised parents who are financially disadvantaged, to take their students children for technical schools in order for them to get quicker paying jobs, adding that parents and teachers should always give good carrier guidance to learners which will greatly help them to obtain a great future.

“To those struggling to raise school fees for your children, I advise you to seek carrier guidance and enroll for technical education.”

Minister Musasizi noted that government has secured more funds in the next financial year to boost the education sector.
