The official opening was graced by District Governor Annie Nkutu, who emphasised the importance of renewing Rotary’s mission in the face of evolving community needs.
“This centenary celebration is not only a time to reflect on the impact Rotary has had on countless lives, but also a moment to renew our commitment to service above self,” said Nkutu.
“As we embrace new challenges and opportunities in our communities, our dedication must remain unwavering.”
A major highlight of the opening day was a moving keynote address delivered by Past District Governor David Osei Amankwah, who represented the President of Rotary International. His message resonated deeply with the delegates:
“We are here today to celebrate a shared vision a vision that binds us together in our commitment to help others,” he said.
“It starts with listening truly hearing the needs of those around us and then rolling up our sleeves to work alongside them. Every small act of kindness, every hand we extend in support it all matters.”
