Dont elect anyone implicated in corruption scandals- Bobi Wine tells western Uganda
National Unity Platform president, Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine has castigated corruption that he said has crippled serviced delivery in the country.
Accompanied by the leader of opposition in parliament Joel Ssenyonyi, and other NUP leaders as well as members of Parliament, Kyagulanyi entered Ishaka in chants and ululations.

He then proceeded to Kizinda playground where he was welcomed by a crowd and was given a spear and a shield as a sign of leadership.
Addressing a congregation, he reminded youths of their pivotal role in combating corruption and instigating the transformative changes they aspire for.
“Ankole is not any different from other parts of Uganda, what affects other parts of the country affects you too, the money you see being used in birthday celebrations that is your money so raise up because it will begin with you especially the young people to cause the change you want,” Kyagulanyi said.
He urged locals of Ishaka - Bushenyi not to reelect leaders implicated in corruption, encouraging them to stay engaged in national affairs and hold the current leaders accountable.
“Don’t support and elect thieves. Even if they bring money to you, that is your money they are stealing and misusing it. That is money that would be used to have drugs in hospitals, work on the bad roads, ” Kyagulanyi said.
The opposition leader in Parliament, Joel Ssenyonyi empahsized the imperative role of the Ishaka-Bushenyi and Ankole as a whole, particularly the youth, in combating the scourge of corruption.
“Are your hospitals and health centers in Ishaka, Sheema, Ankole having medicines? Are your schools okay? The money that is supposed to work on these things is being taken by thieves. So let us work together and chase away the corrupt ,actually thieves,” Ssenyonyi said.
