The president of the National Unity Platform Robert Kyagulanyi has dismissed claims by former Leader of Opposition, Mathias Mpuuga that he is under siege.

Officiating the presentation of the national alternative budget priorities for the financial year 2024/2025, Kyagulanyi , Kyagulanyi said he will not be swayed by non-issues.
Kyagulanyi also asked opposition legislators to resist and reject all forms of corruption in offices of administration for the betterment of all Ugandans.
He insisted that public resources must be exploited for all and not to benefit a few with access to these resources.
He said as National Unity Platform, the main opposition political party will take decisive actions against all its members engaged in this vice of corruption.
On the issue of failing to eject the opposition commissioner Mathias Mpuuga from the Parliamentary Commission as a party, Kyagulanyi said they will not be deterred by the negative response from the Speaker.
Notably, commissioner of Parliament, Mathias Mpuuga and other MPs including Muwanga Kivumbi, Medard Lubega Sseggona and Dr.Abed Bwanika snubbed the function.
