Lawyer dies in Moroto- Soroti road crash
Moses Mutebi, a lawyer with Spenser Associated Advocates, has died in a car accident along the Moroto-Soroti road.
The incident occurred in Lorengechora, Napak district on Wednesday when Mutebi's Toyota Wish car, registration number UBB 013U suffered a tyre burst , veered off the road and overturned .
Eyewitnesses described the harrowing moment.
"The car suddenly started swerving before veering off the road. It was so scary." John Moru said
Mutebi, who had recently been enrolled at the Uganda Law Society succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Police confirmed the incident saying they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident
The body of the victim has been taken to Moroto Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination, while the wreckage has been towed to Napak Central Police Station," Mike Longole Karamoja Police spokesperson told Nile Post.
Colleagues and friends remember Mutebi's final moment.
"We handled a matter in Moroto High Court shortly before he traveled. We have deprived of a good friend and a dedicated lawyer" Everest Kadaoum, a lawyer said.
