Minister Musasizi Nominated for Rubanda East

The State Minister for Finance (General Duties) and incumbent Member of Parliament for Rubanda County East, Henry Musasizi, has officially been nominated to contest in the coming NRM Primaries.

Musasizi, a staunch member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), was successfully nominated today morning at the NRM Electoral Commission offices in Kampala.

He was accompanied by his nominator Benson Banyanga and seconders Mrs. Mary Bebwajuba and Tumwiine Pius.

Musasizi expressed gratitude to the people of Rubanda East for their continued trust and support.

“Today morning, accompanied by my nominator Benson Banyanga and seconders Mrs. Mary Bebwajuba and Tumwiine Pius, I was successfully nominated to represent the people of Rubanda East as their Member of Parliament for the term 2026–2031. Our mission in the new term is to consolidate our achievements. I thank my constituents for their great support and ask for your continued backing as the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer for the constituency,” Musasizi said in a tweet.

Musasizi has served as Rubanda East MP since 2011 and has held key positions both in parliament and government.

His tenure has been marked by efforts to improve infrastructure, service delivery, and economic empowerment within the constituency.

As the nomination process continues across the country, all eyes are now on the NRM party primaries where Musasizi is expected to face off with other contenders for the party flag ahead of the 2026 elections.
