Two police officers arrested over aiding suspects escape from custody in Arua

Police in Arua City  have arrested two of their own for allegedly aiding two suspects escape from custody.

The two officers attached to Oluko police post Amvua cell, Ombokolo ward in Ayivu East division, Arua City were  arrested for aiding two unknown individuals walk into the cells and release two male suspects from the custody including  Owen  Anguyo  and  Bernard Yoyo .

The unidentified individuals also went with two motorcycles Registration Number UEB 260k belonging to a police officer and another number  less Bajaj boxer an exhibit .

Asea Collins, the Regional police spokesperson for West Nile sub-region confirmed the incident.
