Iranian Ambassador hails thriving relations with Uganda

The outgoing Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uganda, Seyed Morteza has lauded the relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Morteza, whose tour of duty has come to an end, expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the support he received which enabled him to carry out his duties.

During his tenure, political and economic ties were enhanced as seen through various exchanges of high profile visits.

“I am optimistic that the relations between the two countries will continue steadily progressing and I will continue promoting Uganda-Iran ties when I return home,”Morteza said.

In his farewell remarks, Oryem reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to further strengthening the existing relations between the two countries.

The minister congratulated the outgoing Iranian ambassador upon completing his tour of duty successfully and applauded him for his commitment to promoting Iran-Uganda relations.
