Hearing of the case in which city socialite Brian Kirumira also known as Bryan White is accused of attempted murder has not kicked off.
On Tuesday, the state prosecutor Jaquline Akao told the Makindye chief magistrate Erias Kakooza that hearing could not kick off because the victim who was supposed to be the key witness was still ill.
"The victim who was supposed to testify is still sick and unable to attend court. We pray for an adjournment, "Akaao told court.
The chief magistrate adjourned the matter to 5th March.
Prosecution alleges that the Kirumira and Thomas Okoth, a police officer attached to Crime Intelligence unlawfully attempted to cause the murder of Victor Bitwire contrary to section 204 of the Penal Code Act.
Bryan White is famous for dishing out money to various groups of people especially his supporters in the city.
