Police rescues thief from mob; Mob later breaks into police cell, kills thief

Police in Mityana District have arrested 10 people alleged to have broken into a police cell at Kiryokya police post and murdered a suspected motorcycle thief.

Those arrested are suspected to be part of an angry mob that attacked the police post based at Kiryokya trading center, Kalangalo Sub County. They reportedly caused havoc and broke into the cell after the three police officers who were deployed at the post ran away.
