Lake Mburo national park to host  the party as Cocktails in the wild returns with a bang

Following its popular introduction to the party scene, Cocktails in the Wild returns this year for its third season and is headed for Lake Mburo National Park.

With a little over a month to go, Smirnoff Uganda in collaboration with Universal Music Group, an American global music corporation and Uganda Wildlife Authority have revealed that this year’s unique party experience will be held on December 7 and 8, 2019.

“I am delighted to see Cocktails in the Wild return for its third edition. This will be our biggest and most exciting experience yet. Since launching with Uganda Waragi in 2016, we have continued to grow the festival experience by adding new features like the pop-up bars along the route to our party destination” Smirnoff Uganda’s Agaba Tumusiime said.

He noted that since the coming of Uganda Wildlife on board as partners, it would go a long way in attracting new party and cocktail lovers to participate and also grow domestic tourism.

This year sees the introduction of new partners, Universal Music Group, an American global music corporation that is implementing the experience in other African countries like Nigeria and South Africa; and Uganda Wildlife Authority that has provided five of its tour buses to transport revelers to the national park for the party experience.

This year’s edition of Cocktails in the Wild will give revelers a chance to party in the wild and groove to lots of music and entertainment while enjoying an outdoor cocktail festival filled with Uganda Waragi, Captain Morgan and Smirnoff pop-up bars.

As a way of promoting responsible drinking, the organisers have also created an outdoor food area to create a cosy space where partiers can enjoy their favorite food of choice while they drink.

Another exciting addition to this years’ experience is the cocktail stop-overs at different sites along the route to Lake Mburo.

This is the first time pop-up bars will appear at these sites, offering partiers a unique opportunity to enjoy their cocktails on the move.

Some of the deejays that are scheduled to spin the decks at this wild party experience include Smirnoff Brand Ambassador from Nigeria, DJ Spinall, a multiple award-winning deejay, record producer and songwriter from Nigeria.

DJ Spinall is popularly known for his hits Nowo and Dis Love featuring the biggest names in African music, Wizkid and Tiwa Savage.

Performances are also expected from Da Capo, a South African DJ producer with impressionable dancefloor rhythms who also just won Africa DJ of the Year Award on the global stage; Chicco Dread and Uganda’s very own, DJ Naselow.

Tickets for this year’s Cocktails in the Wild go for shs250,000 including transport, accommodation and meals.
