Victoria University to equip rally drivers with first aid skills

Victoria University has pledged to support Motor sport in the country.

According to the University Vice Chancellor Assoc. Prof. Krishna N Sharma, the university has designed a four hour short course training that will be offered to rally drivers and their navigators.

Sharma said drivers will be equipped with first aid skills as they prepare for the Total Kabalega Rally to be held in Hoima between October 17 and October 20.

The university is owned by the Ruparelia Group.

The Kabalega rally will officially start on Thursday 17th October with a vintage car show at Kontik Hotel in Hoima.

A total distance of 303 kilometers will be covered for the rally.

Courtesy of the rally, UMOSPOC intends to have environmental awareness where participants are expected to plant trees.

The Kabalega Rally is the penultimate round of this year’s National Rally Championship.

Hassan Allawi leads the standings with 355 points, Ronald Sebuguzi and Leon Senyange come second with 300 points.
