Music school trains student for three years, he then robs them clean on graduating

Milege Acoustic Project, a Kampala based music school suffered a setback when one of their own trained students masterminded a robbery at the premises, making off with several valuable items.

According to a statement from Milege, the student has been identified as Bill Lwanga who has been learning at the school for the past three years.

The school maintains that Lwanga masterminded a clean sweep of the premises, taking with him company computers, and back up drives with information worth a fortune.

“He organised and actively participated in robbing our premises. He made off with company computers and back up drives with information worth a fortune and paralyzed company operations and caused massive loss to the entity,” the statement reads in part.

“Bill has stolen from countless offices, individuals and studios. He specialized in robbing from arts entities because he is an artist himself. He changes appearance after each encounter, he speaks English, Kiswahili and Luganda equally well, he plays the guitar and sings and also makes leather bags. He is a smooth talker,” Milege claimed.

Lwanga was arrested by company officials on Tuesday night.
