CAF Champions league:KCCA to face Madagascan champions in preliminaries

On Wednesday, December, 13, 2017, the draws for the two CAF inter-club competitions for the  upcoming year 2018 were held at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

Uganda Premier League defending  champions, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club will face Madagascar champions CNaPS in the preliminary round of the 2018 Total CAF Champions league.

According to draws held on Wednesday at CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, the Madagascan side will host the first leg between February 9th and 11 ,2018, before the return leg in Kampala a week later between February 16 and 18.

KCCA stands in the way of Ethiopian giants St.George who will also play South Sudan's Al Salam Wau in the preliminary stage of the biggest club football on the continent.

KCCA were last season eliminated in the group stages of the trophy before being relegated to the CAF Confederation Cup.

Morocan giants Wydad Casablanca are the defending champions of the CAF Champions league after beating record champions Al Ahly to win the 53rd edition of Africa's premier club football tournament.
