Three people died on the spot in an accident in Bundibugyo on Thursday. The accident occurred at around 3pm in Bugombwa, Busaru s/c Bundibugyo on August 8, 2019.
The fatal accident involved a semi trailer UAU 180L/UAU 656L coming from Congo heading to Kampala and two motorcycles UEX 326M and UEV 648N.
Apart from the 3 people who died on the spot who are yet to be identified, eight others suffered serious injuries. They are reportedly receiving treatment from Bundibugyo hospital.
Police preliminary investigations indicate that the trailer failed to brake and rammed into the two motorcycles.
