Abdu Lumala reunites with former Cranes coach Desabre at Pyramids

Uganda Cranes winger, Abdu Lumala over the weekend completed a move to Egyptian giants Pyramids Football Club.

The 22- year old winger who has been plying his trade for Swedish side Kalmar FF was among the best impressive Uganda Cranes players in the just concluded African Nations Cup in Egypt attracting interest from various clubs including Pyramids FC.

On Friday, Lumala traveled to Cairo ahead of the unveiling ceremony by the Egyptian moneybags.

The fast-paced winger will now reunite with former Cranes tactician, Sebastien Desabre who joined Pyramids after Uganda’s exit from the Afcon at the round of 16.

Speaking during his unveiling ceremony in Egypt, Desabre said he would recommend some Ugandan players to play in the Egyptian premier league and abroad.

The promise has started with securing Lumala at Pyramids.

Abdu Lumala has contributed 21 goals and 12 assists in 130 games for various clubs including Superettan, Allsvenskan, Kalmar FF, and Svenska Cupen among others he has played for.
