While delivering his speech at the 5th Coronation anniversary of Obudingiya Bwa Bwamba Prof. Kamuntu told Bana Budhingyiya that unity in diversity should not be a matter of choice but a matter of survival not only for the country and the kingdom urging them to maintain peace through peaceful co existence.

Lt Col Martin Kamya Ayongi, the cultural leader Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba, emphasised the issue of self identity for different cultural groups something he says has been misinterpreted.

He said despite people’s culture being a base for its existence, many people have poorly misinterpreted it to mean sectarianism and tribalism.

According to Kamya some of the cultural values and norms like indigenous languages are about to disappear completely because many people have shunned their role of educating the young ones about culture and traditions.

Peace Regis Mutuuzo, the minister of state for Gender in charge of Social Development warned the youth against spending much time drinking alcohol but instead engage  in productive ventures.
