VIDEO: Singing in Bobi Wine’s Engule song was mistake- Pastor Bugembe

Singer and Pastor Wilson Bugembe has indicated that his involvement in singer Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine’s Tuliyambala Engule would not have happened if he would take back the hands of time.

According to Bugembe he underestimated the impact the song would have towards him and the government and he did not know the song would turn out the way it did.

“If I would turn back time, I think I would not be part of this song (Tuliyambale Engule)” Bugembe insisted.

In an extended interview with NBS TV’s uncensored program- Uncut, Bugembe said those lashing at him for being part of the song should also critically analyse his part in the song, where he calls for unity and peace amongst warring factions.

Bugembe said he was so excited wen Bobi Wine called him to be part of the song as a priest who reconciles different sides, but he is worried specific people interpreted it like he was fighting government.

“I have told Bobi Wine before that I am not on the opposition and not fighting government. I did not know they were going to release the song with footage of fire in the country, angry faces of people etc,” Bugembe said.

“If Bobi Wine were to call me again to sing in this song, I would turn him down. I am not against the government and don’t want to be. Museveni has given us so much peace and a lot of freedom as born again Christians and I have no reason to hate him yet,” Bugembe added.

The song has already received massive backlash from different religious leaders, specifically from the born again christian faith.
