Centenary Bank has pledged Shs 280 million as a platinum sponsor for three upcoming Rotary Conferences, including Shs 100 million for each Rotary district and Shs 80 million for the Rotary Africa Zone.

The announcement was made at a Rotary press conference held at Fountain Palace Hotel and Suites in Ntinda, Kampala, alongside the Rotary Africa Zone, to unveil partners supporting the conferences. The events aim to celebrate achievements, strengthen collaboration, and reflect on strategies for driving greater community impact.

Speaking at the conference, Fabian Kasi, Managing Director of Centenary Bank, expressed gratitude and pride in partnering with Rotary Uganda, an initiative that “inspires, connects, and energizes members to create a lasting impact in communities.”

“We are building healthier, sustainable communities across Uganda. Together, we are investing in a brighter and more empowered future for every Ugandan,” Kasi said.

Geoffrey Kitakule, District Governor of Rotary Uganda, added: “This collaboration allows us to celebrate achievements while reflecting on future goals. With two conferences scheduled in April and another in September, the focus remains on driving lasting change. Together with partners, we are committed to building stronger and more empowered communities.”

Centenary Bank has maintained a 15-year partnership with Rotary Uganda, focusing on community development, health, and social impact. Key collaborative initiatives include the annual Rotary Cancer Run, which has raised over Shs 3 billion, and the establishment of the Rotary Club of Mapeera, promoting ethical leadership, service, community health, and environmental sustainability.

Together, the partnership has supported over 300 health camps and youth empowerment programs, such as Vijana and Powa, demonstrating a shared commitment to improving healthcare, education, and social empowerment across Uganda. By pooling resources, knowledge, and expertise, the collaboration aims to enhance decision-making and maximize impact in communities nationwide.
