The Managing Director of Salam TV, Hajj Karim Kaliisa, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, met businessman Hamis Kiggundu at his office at Nakivubo Shopping Mall to discuss joint humanitarian initiatives and strategies for community empowerment.
The meeting sought to align Salam TV’s community transformation mission with Dr. Kiggundu’s philanthropic activities under the Ham Foundation.
According to participants, the discussion centred on collaborative programmes aimed at empowering vulnerable communities, promoting education, and advancing collective economic transformation in Uganda.
Salam TV, through its Salam Charity initiatives, has previously supported education programmes and Islamic development projects in different parts of the country.
Kiggundu, through the Ham Foundation, has also been involved in community welfare projects targeting youth empowerment, financial literacy and support to disadvantaged groups.
“We’re looking forward to seeing the impact of this partnership,” Hajji Karim Kaliisa said, expressing optimism that the collaboration would strengthen ongoing humanitarian work and expand outreach to more communities.
The two leaders reportedly agreed to explore structured frameworks that would combine media advocacy, philanthropy and grassroots engagement to drive sustainable social change.
