Node Group has won the best PR agency of the year award and received a Certificate of recognition as Best Social/Digital Communication Campaign during the 9th PRAU Excellence Awards, held at Protea Hotel in Kampala .
Acccourding to officials, these recognitions come at a time when the agency is gearing up to celebrate its 10th anniversary next year under the theme, “Transforming What Is Next.”
The best agency of the year award entry highlighted the Node PR Fundi Masterclasses, Node’s contribution to the PR industry, and agency programmes in cross-generational mentorship, work ethics, excellent campaign execution, and personal growth.
Between January 2025 and May 2025, PR Fundi masterclass partnered with the African Public Relations Association (APRA) to run free online PR Fundi masterclass sessions.
“These awards will inspire us to continue pushing boundaries and delivering work that makes a meaningful difference. Our philosophy is to move beyond traditional PR approaches and offer an ecosystem of data-proven strategic services in PR management and marketing," said Ian Rumanyika, the CEO Node Group.
During the awards night, the South African High Commission to Uganda, Solly Mollo, congratulated the winners and applauded PRAU for recognizing excellence through the awards.
She urged the association to explore collaboration opportunities with the South African High Commission to promote the visibility of both countries through PR.
PRAU President Irene Nakasiita noted that the PRAU Excellence Awards were established to honor exceptional work in the Public Relations sector in Uganda across various categories, giving individuals and organizations a platform to showcase and be celebrated for their brilliance in executing strategic and well-thought-out communication concepts.
The 2025 PRAU Excellence Awards were held under the theme “Recognizing Innovation and Impact in Public Relations,” the event brought together communication professionals, corporate leaders and institutions, MDAs, government officials, media practitioners, and experts from related fields such as marketing and advertising.
This year, 13 winners were named across 13 categories.
