Speaker of Parliament Anita Among led a delegation of visiting Speakers and deputies from East African Community (EAC) countries on Thursday to pay a courtesy call on Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, at the Special Forces Command Headquarters in Entebbe.
The visiting Speakers commended Uganda for its pivotal role in fostering regional integration and unity. Among also acknowledged the Chief of Defence Forces for the contributions of Uganda’s security agencies in ensuring national and regional safety.
She said the armed forces’ missions have “significantly contributed to regional stability.”
Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba described the visit as historic and expressed gratitude to the visitors for their presence at the headquarters.
