The Second Deputy Katikkiro and Minister for Finance and Planning in the Buganda Kingdom, Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa, has urged parents to refrain from mistreating or overworking their children during the school holiday period.

Speaking while officiating at the launch of new songs by Pamville Schools, held at Theatre Labonita in Kyaddondo, Nsibirwa noted that although children should participate in simple household chores—such as washing dishes or helping to keep the home clean—their tasks should never become excessive or harmful. Instead, he said, these responsibilities should be used as opportunities to instill discipline, responsibility, and real-world readiness.

He encouraged parents to actively participate in school activities, ceremonies, and performances, explaining that such events help families better understand their children’s talents, interests, and potential.

“Showcasing talent helps learners stimulate their minds and gain confidence in different areas that shape their future,” he said.

Nsibirwa commended Pamville Schools for producing songs that promote discipline and cultural pride, saying the music would help learners strengthen their appreciation of their cultural heritage.

Pamville Schools founder, Frank Pamela Nalukwago Ntalo, thanked parents for supporting their children and urged them to prioritize the safety and well-being of learners during the holiday.

She also expressed gratitude to all parents who traveled to attend the launch event.
