Divisionism in NRM is often lead to loss of seats when elections come but when you are campaigning jointly there is an aspect of supporting one another because there are those candidates that might be strong in some areas so those who are strong will tap on those who are not strong

As parliamentary campaigns take center stage across the country, Rukiga district has chosen to hold joint campaigns for the NRM flag bearers.

The participating NRM candidates include Patrick Kiconco Kataabazi, contesting for the Rukiga county MP seat, Sylivia Arinaitwe contesting for Rukiga Woman MP seat and Simon Rwamagyenda who is vying for Rukiga LC 5 seat.

Patrick Kiconco Kataabazi NRM candidate contesting for the Rukiga county MP ship noted that its important as NRM Candidates to conduct joint campaigns in order to voice out the party’s manifesto stressing that its counterproductive.

He adds that having joint campaigns is cost effective.

“So, it becomes so important people start appreciating that we are in multi-party politics, as a party we have one single platform which is the NRM manifesto and for that reason it would be the best idea to approach this as a party. Kataabazi adds.

Kataabazi also that voters have greatly appreciated and understood the NRM candidates approach adding that this is an indication that once voted they will be working together to ensure service delivery.

Once voter appreciate that working in a system, delivers results better than working in isolation, I think that strengthens our message.” Kataabazi states.
