Museveni Praises Basajjabalaba Family Matriarch for Nurturing a Legacy of Service

President Museveni has paid tribute to the late Hajjat Azida Nanteza, describing her as a devoted family pillar who raised children that have contributed significantly to regional and national development.

His condolence message was delivered on Sunday by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa at Nanteza’s burial in Bushenyi.

Tayebwa said Museveni hailed the matriarch for instilling integrity, discipline and hard work in her children, values he said are reflected in their service to the country.

The President noted that Nanteza’s legacy is evident in the achievements of her children, including Al Hajji Hassan Basajjabalaba, Chairman of the NRM Entrepreneurs League. He highlighted the family’s investments in schools, universities and hospitals as key contributions to social and economic development in greater Bushenyi and Uganda.
