Tororo Gears Up for Museveni’s Campaign Rally

Tororo District, comprising 42 administrative units, is abuzz with activity as President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni prepares to hold a major campaign rally in the area today.

Preparations across the municipality and surrounding communities have been in full swing over the past two days.

At the Children’s Lions Park in Tororo Municipality, where the President is expected to address supporters, service providers worked overnight to prepare the grounds. Grass has been cleared both at the venue and along several bushy streets, while teams erect tents and put final touches on arrangements to accommodate the large crowds anticipated.

The town itself reflects the excitement surrounding the visit. Energetic youths have been seen pinning posters of the NRM presidential candidate on walls and electricity poles, turning the streets into a bright display of yellow as residents gear up for the event.

Outside the town center, preparations are underway along the road leading to Kisoko Boys Primary School. Heavy machinery, including a grader, compactor, and water bulldozer, has been working tirelessly along the Nagongera–Busolwe Road, which leads to the school. President Museveni is expected to commission a newly constructed storage building at the institution, a project spearheaded by NRM Electoral Commission Chairperson Dr. Tanga Odoi.

Meanwhile, NRM party mobilizers have spent the past two days distributing yellow T-shirts to supporters, who are expected to wear them during the rally as a show of solidarity.

The President is scheduled to begin his engagements in Butaleja District before proceeding to Tororo later in the day.
