Mityana Woman MP Joyce Bagala Ntwatwa is set to launch her campaign trail today, November 12, at Kakiindu Town Board.
Before the launch, Bagala met her campaign team at her residence in Mbaliga Village, emphasizing the importance of discipline and unity within Team Bagala. She urged her supporters to maintain respect and cohesion as the campaign unfolds.
Although not awarded the NUP ticket, Bagala affirmed her loyalty to the party and encouraged her supporters to continue backing NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, describing him as central to building a “new Uganda.” She expressed confidence in winning a second term as Woman MP by a substantial margin.
Bagala received backing from Anni Mariam Lugeendo, the NUP flag bearer for the LCV seat, who publicly pledged support for Bagala, highlighting her as the best candidate for the Woman MP position.
Joining Team Bagala, Patrick Mugisha Nshimiye, the Mityana District Chairperson and independent candidate for Mityana Municipality, called on residents to support Bagala and respect their votes.
Mityana District, comprising Mityana Municipality, Mityana North, Mityana South, and Busujju Constituency, has four candidates contesting the Woman MP seat. Bagala’s campaign emphasises unity, grassroots engagement, and continued support for the liberation struggle led by the NUP.
