A total of 459 police officers have successfully completed a four-month Basic Counter-Terrorism Induction and Combat Riders Course (Intake 01/2025) at the Police Training School in Ollilim, Katakwi District.

In his address, IGP Byakagaba emphasized the importance of teamwork, discipline, and continuous professional development, noting that these values are crucial for safeguarding national and regional stability.
“We must recognize that our roles are critical not only to the security of our country but also to the stability of the entire region. This is not a choice, but a responsibility we must all embrace,” he said.
He urged the newly trained officers to uphold integrity, professionalism, and personal discipline as they embark on their assignments, emphasizing that effective policing requires commitment and a passion for service.
The ceremony was attended by several senior police officers, including AIGP Moses Kafeero, Director of Human Resource Development; AIGP Wasswa David Ssengendo, Director of Counter-Terrorism; and AIGP James Apora, Director of Logistics and Engineering, among others.
