The inter-institute tournament featured football and netball, with participants drawn from vocational institutions in Kawempe, Mulago, Nankulabye, Wandegeya, and other Kampala areas.

In football, Nankulabye Institute emerged overall champions after edging Mulago Institute 5–3 in a tense penalty shootout following a goalless draw in the final. As winners, Nankulabye took home the coveted trophy and a bull, while Mulago secured second place.

The competitions drew large crowds, including government officials, Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), Resident City Commissioners (RCCs), and other dignitaries who turned up to support the initiative.

Minister Babalanda officially handed over the trophy to the jubilant Nakulabye team, commending their resilience and teamwork throughout the tournament.

She reaffirmed that government will continue to back initiatives that integrate sports into youth development programs, positioning them for a brighter future.
